Storms

For the second time in two days, I was stuck sticking out a tornado warning. Tuesday was in Target, last night was in the church basement! Maybe these "spring" storms will be over by the time July hits.

When I received an email several days ago about a local Christian publisher looking for an Asian model for the cover of their spring publication, I went against my natural instincts to send this poor woman every single picture I own of Rory and instead just sent the first one that came to mind and then didn't give it another thought. But yesterday morning I received a call saying that she had been chosen for the cover, so we're off to see this guy Saturday morning. Should be fun!

I'm taking Rory on a shopping trip (for the photo shoot) and then her first trip to the dentist. She went with us to Camden's appointment several weeks ago and doesn't seem to be nervous. However, she never seems to be nervous to see Dr. Heil either until he walks in the door and she starts sobbing uncontrollably. Hopefully she'll keep it together. I'm pretty sure she at least has two cavities -hoping that they're not as serious as Camden's!

Melissa - let me know which magazine so I can grab a copy of Miss Rory's modeling debut!! (Or I may pay you to grab an extra one). :) How cool!!

Yeah - the storms are wearing us out too. I seem to be the landing strip for both kids at the first rumble of thunder. ;)

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
