Success!

Well, sweets work for my son. What can I say - he takes after his mama! Camden slept all night last night with the promise of donuts for breakfast. It was so nice to sleep all night, and he was so excited this morning. I actually had to leave early for work and didn't get to see him, but he called and left me the SWEETEST message on my phone. I can't wait to pick up him and congratulate him tonight.

I'm trying not to be too depressed this afternoon. Typically, my work week ends Thursday at 4:00 and I'm off Fridays, but this week I have to work tomorrow. I'm trying just to be grateful that I'm usually off and I do have Monday and Tuesday off next week because of July 4, so that will be great!

Miss Gina M. was making cute little words for her blogger commenters today, so look what I picked up. And it matches one of her kits that I'm going to use for a picture of Camden and his two cousins. Can't wait!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
