Mommy, make me some good soup

This what Camden says to me when I called him last night. He burst into tears when I said hello to him and said, "mommy, make me some good soup." He threw up at school yesterday and apparently his teacher told him I would make him good soup. He was so pitiful. His lip quivered, his hand shook, and he was VERY emotionally fragile. He only threw up one more time last night, although he was up in the night many times. This morning he has a slight fever, but is acting much better. I'm at work half day today and then will head home at noon to take care of him and Brian will head to work. I'm very sorry he's sick, but happy to be heading home in a few hours!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
