Pinched
On a recent Sunday afternoon, I had the bright idea to take the kids to the park to play in the creek. They've only been begging to go back since we visited several months ago. Who knew that creek dries up in the summer! Do I get credit for the plan even if it was flawed?
While Brian took the kids further down the creek in search of crawdads, I sat on a nearby bench and read. It happened to be one of those summer days that isn't too hot or humid, but just right. That doesn't happen too often in late June in Tennessee.
Camden got a little closer to a crawdad than he'd like, and that crawdad hung on tight to his finger. Brian said he screeched, and all Brian could do was laugh. Turns out that the crawdad has a tighter pincher than Brian gave him credit for.
We told Camden to kiss the crawdad, and his face cracks me up. Since it's her life goal to one-up Camden, Rory stepped right up and would have done it if Brian hadn't stopped her.
