Happy Labor Day

After getting everyone ready to walk out the door for church yesterday, we decided to keep Rory at home. Her cold is still around, and the child was seriously cranky. She stayed on my lap much of the day, but took a good nap, and actually woke up smiling and laughing today, so hopefully she is on the mend.

Our Labor Day plans are to go to Opry Mills for a little shopping. Camden is in desperate need of new shoes, and I'm sure we'll just browse other stores a bit. We're going to take the kids to eat at Rainforest Cafe, and I think they'll really enjoy the atmosphere. Other than that, we're going to just take it easy.

Hey Melissa, last night I went back to your Feb. posts and Jason and I watched the video of you guys getting Rory. Of course I cried and then went to you tube and watched all kinds of videos of Russian adoptions. Needless to say I woke up this morning with a sinus headache from all of my crying-THANKS A LOT! :) Have a great day!!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
