Tuesday Tidbits

While talking about her new haircut (any haircut is usually the talk of our week with her), Rory informed me that Ms. D was super pretty. Not princess pretty, but almost.

Thanks to mild temperatures our electric bill was HALF of what is typical this past month.

Brian developed tennis elbow over the last couple of months and was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. Do you know it takes 6-8 months for tennis elbow to correct itself? That's a long time!

I spent Sunday and Monday quarantined in my room with one of the worst stomach bugs I've ever had. Fun times.

And speaking of my stomach, as soon as it's 100% better, I'm going to have to head on over to Chick-Fil-A because they announced yesterday their peppermint chocolate chip shake is back.

We shopped around for lower cable/internet and found something almost half of what we're currently paying. The internet is slightly less speedy than what we have now so I'm hoping it's still good enough. Considering we were going to get rid of cable/DVR all together, I was pretty happy to find this deal. I have a great fondness for my DVR.

Anyone have ideas on how to survive mornings with a very, very grumpy 10 year old boy? It's reaching epic levels this school year, and I am at my wit's end. He's not grumpy all the time, just mornings. You know, when I'm at my personal best since I am totally not a morning person either.

I've been on carpool duty both mornings and afternoons for a couple of weeks. While I miss sending the kids out the door then sitting down for another cup of coffee, I do find that having to actually shower and get dressed by 7:00 does alot for my productivity the rest of the day.

I have people ask me often about my shower curtain, and it's been unavailable for months. But good news! It's back at World Market so shop away.

Camden asked to have their picture taken in front of this tree, which he says is the best in the neighborhood. Of course I obliged.

And this is the official end of fall pictures. From now on, you'll see only brown and gray outdoor pics.

Adorable photos of the kids… and awesome tree Camden! I'm sorry you were so sick! Bah! Here's hoping you get better quick since I know there is a shake with your name on it! ;-)

So ironic that he would ask to be photographed in front of the beautiful tree- smiling so serenely. Is it too soon for coffee for a 10 year old? Hehe. Its about the only thing that brings me to life in the wee hours of the morning.

I have one hit by a bug today too- feel better soon!

I was about 14 when I was grumpy in the morning. My wise mother stated that if I was still grumpy then I was not getting enough sleep and perhaps I needed to go to bed at 8:00 or earlier.... that did the trick, good luck!
