Kingsport

We made a quick trip to East Tennessee to visit Brian's parents this weekend, our first since they moved away in June. We didn't arrive until 11 p.m. Friday and had to leave right after church Sunday so it was a very fast weekend, but alot of fun. The kids have grown up with Gram and Gramps right around the corner so they were super excited to visit. And I have to say that Kingsport, TN, is a very pretty place with two of the best parks I've ever visited!

We took a picnic to Bay's Mountain and saw the animals, took a barge ride, saw the wolves being fed, and went to the planetarium where the adults proceeded to sleep through the presentation. Not kidding.

Next up was Warrior's Path State Park, which had the coolest Chronicles of Narnia playground ever.

I did not do a good job of documenting this trip from start to finish, but I did remember to include the adults!

Gramps handed his camera over to Camden during the barge ride, and it was pretty hilarious. The kids in general were bouncing off the walls during this trip, which you can see from Rory's facial expressions on here, but I loved how much Camden enjoyed taking pictures.

(totally out of focus, but her face cracked me up)

You can thank Brian for this awkward picture.

I think the kids had missed Taz as much as Gram and Gramps. They played and played and played with this poor dog. And they kept calling her Addison, which completely cracked me up.

So our weekend was fast and furious; Brian got back to work at the crack of 3 a.m. Yikes! We have a pretty busy week ahead, but fall break is coming!

Busy, but very beautiful it looks like! Those black and white portraits are stunning! You do wonders with indoor lighting! (Teach me!) :)
