June 25 - Splash Pad

What is it about water that makes kids so joyful? I should apologize now for the sheer number of pictures, but I'm not going to. How could I apologize for the happy in these faces? And some of the best pictures are the ones that you can see the happy kid faces in the background.

(Photography note: all SOOC taken with my 70-200 lens. This zoom lens was perfect for a splash pad!)

The water hit him just right and pulled his shorts down. ;)

By the way, Becky and I lasted approximately 90 minutes (we even went at 9:30 in the morning) before we were completely melting in the heat. Brian had kid duty for the afternoon so after a haircut (me!), we went to Scoops and Grinds for ice cream. Whoever came up with the idea of a cafe that specializes not only in coffee, but ice cream is a genius. I can personally vouch for the coffee ice cream with chocolate chips, and I desperately wanted to go back for the Blackberry Mocha Frappe, but we ran out of time. And space in my stomach.

We also decided to check out this antique store, and I felt like I'd stepped into an episode of TLC's Hoarding: Buried Alive. I have never in my life seen anything like this. I thought we were maybe going to disappear in the sea of high-priced junk.
