Goodbye, 2011

I know this is going to sound wierd, but when I look back at 2011, I think of alot of good things. I also thinking of being bald, hospitals, unmeasurable tears, seeing my children struggle to understand what's going on, but mostly I think of all the extra time with my parents and sisters, all the friends who made us feel so loved, new friends, a sweet new niece who is here much too early but is doing well. Before bedtime tonight (which was an early 7:00 for the kids, thank goodness) we sat in the living room and asked the kids what they were grateful for this year. And as we all sat and listed thing after thing, I was struck again by how good God has been to us.

Not sure why I thought I could pull together my favorite pictures of the year, but here are a few anyway.

January

(this picture won a contest and Jasmine Star chose the winner, so definitely my January favorite!)

I cannot believe how much Camden has grown up this year. His looks have changed so much! That picture of Brian in the wig still completely cracks me up! I can only imagine how difficult 2011 has been for your family but please know that you all have been such a shining light of God's grace and faithfulness through all of the hard days. I'm praying that 2012 will be one of the best, most blessed years of your life!
both of your kids have changed so much this year!! And that first picture of Rory is absolutely stunning. I'm so glad that you have good memories from 2011. God is good.
This is such a wonderful look back. Even with all the hard days in the mix, there is just so much joy in your family. And that is evident here. Happy New Year!

Of course, all the photos of the kids are positively adorable (and I love what a wonderful big brother Camden is!), but my favorite picture is the one of Brian in the wig. How can you beat that? :)
