Sleepover

We spent the day yesterday with the family and had a good time. My day was pretty packed: I was up at 5:30 to go get coffee from the local coffeeshop; back to get myself ready and the kids up, bathed, and dressed; headed to the bank and post office, then to Gram and Gramp's house; back home for lunch and naptime; took advantage of naptime to sweep, mop, dust, make brownies; woke the kids up from naptime to meet the family at the Chinese restaurant; brought everyone home to our house for dessert and snacks and then made it to bed at 10:00, which is very early for me, but I was exhausted!

Camden had a sleepover with his cousin Logan last night. I cannot even describe to you how well these two play together. Seriously, we never know they're around (well except for all the fun Star Wars fighting noises). They disappear together and there is never a cross word - just pure fun. Last night when Brian got home Camden informed him that there was no need to play games with him because Logan would do it instead.

One small downside is that apparently having a cousin over completely destroys the need for sleep. Rory was still awake at 10:00 last night and up before 6:30 this morning. Camden was still up at midnight (and coming into our room to tell us that he couldn't sleep) and up at 6:30. He then WOKE Logan up at 6:30. These are the children that typically go to bed at 7:30 p.m. and sleep for 12 straight hours. I have a feeling I will have some cranky children on my hands later on.

Today the boys are going to Gramp's shack cabin while the girls head to Opry Mills to do a little bit of shopping.
I'm very excited because tomorrow my sister and her husband are keeping Camden and Rory for us while we actually go out on a DATE! They offered to keep the kids overnight, and I think we're going to take them up on it. Hopefully, Rory will do all right.

Have a great weekend!
