Still no layouts to share, but here's another funny Camden story. Brian always tells him stories before he goes to bed. Sometimes he makes up these elaborate stories, sometimes they're hunting stories (which Camden loves!), and sometimes Bible stories. Well, Sunday night he was telling him about Jonah and was saying that Jonah was running away from God. Camden gasped, and said, "But WHY was Jonah running from God? We LIKE God!"

One funny Camden story. Brian fixed sourkrout (no idea how to really spell this!) Saturday night taking advantage of me not cooking or eating because I will not fix or eat that! Camden proudly ate his "sourcrap"! I didn't correct him.
He's been out of pull-ups for a week now, and he had two good nights, but ever since he's been wetting the bed so I think we're going back to pull-ups for a bit. Tell me how he can wake up 3-4 times a night to go potty when he's wearing a pull-up, but when he's got on underwear, he sleeps straight through the night and wakes up wet. Makes no sense to me!
Here is an old layout from two weeks ago. I've tried scrapping the last several days, and I just can't do it. I have no creativity flowing at all. Maybe it will come back soon.

I'm working in registration again today. It's fairly busy today, which is a good thing. Yesterday was SLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW! The husband of one of the ladies brought us all Starbucks coffee, which is very sweet. What I couldn't bring myself to tell him is that I think coffee tastes like dirt if it's not drowned in a frappucino or a peppermint mocha. And there's no sugar here! I've taken one drink, but am not sure I can manage to drink any more. I'll have to wait until there's a break and "finish" it up.
Prison Break started last night. How nice to have something new to watch (besides 24, of course - we're now on season 2, disc 3!).
I had a layout to share from last week that I never posted, but I can't get it to upload so if you want to see it (mom), go here.
Also, for you scrappers out there, Amanda Rockwell has a fun new kit at SBB called Marcus. You can find it here.

The weekend was pretty good. Brian came into town and helped me get all my shopping done for events on campus this weekend. It was nice to have someone else lugging all that stuff around! We saw The Devil Wears Prada. I thought it was really cute. I think Brian barely tolerated it. We went out to eat, and it was pretty good. I had a grilled artichoke as my vegetable, but could not eat it. It was like trying to chew plastic! Saturday Brian went with his dad to work on deer stands. Camden was still at his Gram and Gramps house. I got my hair cut and grocery shopped. Camden came home Saturday afternoon and has been a brat (did I really just call him that?) ever since. He's been quite cranky and whiny all week long, and I think that being away spoiled him a bit so we're working on getting him back to his sweet self! He slept last night in underwear instead of a pull-up and was dry this morning! Hopefully, that will continue to go well.
I'm working registration today and tomorrow and will be away from the computer. Here are three layouts from the weekend.

We're back to Camden's horrible summer sleeping habits. I think we're being paid back for all those times that parents told me their 3 year olds still didn't sleep through the night, and I thought in the back of my head that they must not be very consistent because otherwise, how could that be possible! We've had issues with this since May, but it had gotten a little better in the last couple of weeks, but this week has been horrible. He's up 3-5 times every night either going potty or wanting us to cover him up or just plain ready to get up and not happy when we tell him it's 1:00 a.m.! Last night he was up at 10:30 (we had just gone to bed so that's not too bad), at 1:00 (he threw a HUGE fit when we wouldn't let him get up), at 4:00 and then up for good at 5:30. He's spending the night at Gram and Gramps tonight. Hopefully he won't do this to them!
It's date night! Bob and Brenda offered to keep Camden today and tonight so after work we're going out to eat and a movie. Not sure what we'll see. Nothing is really calling to me, but I'm sure I can find something, and since we have the opportunity I have no intention of letting it go to waste! Brian is working on a deer stand with his dad tomorrow, and I'm going to Curves, going grocery shopping, and getting my hair cut. Sunday we have church and then I've got a big reception to take care of in the afternoon. Lots of fun.
I think that's about it. Here's one LO from yesterday.

I've got a busy day ahead getting ready for this dinner tonight. My job involves lots of social events, and I really don't enjoy them at all. It is most definitely my least favorite part of my job!
Here are a couple of layouts from the weekend that I couldn't get to load yesterday.

Our weekend was quite uneventful and involved laundry, cleaning house, and finishing up the first season of 24. What a cliffhanger! I can't wait for season #2 to arrive on my doorstep thanks to Netflix.
Camden started his new class today. He's moved into the 3 year class and has a sweet new teacher, although we already miss Mrs. Jennifer. I actually completely avoided going to school on Friday because I couldn't face the goodbye with Mrs. Jennifer on Camden' s last day. She was already torn up earlier in the week and Brian told me she cried when he dropped Camden off, and I just couldn't handle it! On our way in to class this morning, we passed a flower arrangement and Camden said, "Oh, what booootiful flowers!"
One more quick funny story. Last night at church we had a Veggie Tales Pre-release party, which means we had the newest Veggie Tales before it's available to the public and showed it on a big screen with free drinks and popcorn and lots of people. It finishes up, and Brian goes to the front to give away some door prizes. It gets quiet. Then you hear Camden (quite distressed) say, "But, daddy, I'm not finished with my popcorn yet."
Here are two layouts from this weekend. I have more, but can't get them uploaded right now.

I did several layouts last night as well as trying my hand at making a sketch template. If you want it, you can download it here.

What is going on with Camden?? Two nights in a row he has gone a "big one" (to use his words) in his pants! This boy has been potty trained since October!Tuesday night I made him go straight to bed as punishment (although it was his bedtime already - he just didn't realize it). Last night we were going to get Frosty's after church, but we didn't let him have one as punishment. I feel like he needs some kind of discipline for it, but didn't want to be too harsh.
Camden has always responded well to bribes of any sort, but especially food bribes. He'll do anything for one M&M. We've been giving him one small treat every day after school if he was good, no fits, took his nap, etc. Well, I've hit gold! He has been perfect for many days in a row because he gets one "Starburt" when he gets home. He wakes up in the morning beaming and ready to go to school because he'll get a "Starburt." It's the first thing out of his mouth in the morning and the first thing he says when we pick him up. And it's just so cute that I can't correct his pronunciation of it.
Well, I said yesterday my job was changing, and today I got news that changes it even more. I'm adding quite a few responsibilities. I will be helping out quite a bit with our campital relocation campaign, in addition to my other responsibilies. I'm probably getting an assistant (yah for me!), and a little more money even.
Okay, that's it for today I think. No new scrap pages, unfortunately.

I'm busy at work these days, which is good. My job seems to be headed in a new direction, which is kind of exciting. I've always had my hand in the marketing publications department, but I'm spending more and more time with that as well as website design and upkeep.
Camden is three years old, and until two days ago, I don't think he really realized he could get out of his toddler bed by himself! When we first put him in it last December, we fully expected to have him getting up by himself, playing, etc. But no! He stayed put just like it was a crib. The last several weeks he has gotten up in the middle of the night to go potty, but he still won't leave his room. He stands in the doorway and yells, "Anyone? Anybody?" The last two mornings, however, about 6:30 a.m., we've heard the door click and in bounces Camden full of energy, smiling, and telling us, "I'm awake!" It's very cute! Of course, this does mean that those mornings when's up and ready to go at 4:00 a.m. (and, yes, this does happen), it might be harder to get him back in bed.
I redid one of my first layouts last night. I scrapped the first picture we received of my nephews back in January, but have never been quite happy with it.

Me: Camden, why don't you run and go potty before we leave.
Camden: We don't run in the house, mommy. (spoken in a very indignant tone)
In the church bathroom
Me: Camden, grab your stool so you can wash your hands.
Camden: It is not my stool, mommy. It is EVERYBODY'S. (spoken in the same indignant tone)
Apparently, he's going to be a smart aleck. Wonder where he gets that? Here's another fun conversation on the way home from school yesterday with Brian.
Camden: When I get to be a mans, can I drive the car, daddy?
Brian: Yes, when you are 16 years old.
Camden: Are you 16 years old?
Brian: No, I'm 30.
Camden: I want to be 30. I'm tired of being 3.
A couple of layouts from last night.

Our weekend was fun, but very hot! Friday I stayed home with Camden. He was very sweet all day. We grocery shopped, played, and made cookies. He was so proud of himself. I’m sure this is quite normal for a 3 year old, but this boy can ask more questions than you can imagine. And not only does he ask ALOT of questions, he repeats them over and over. So you can only imagine how question opportunities making cookies opened up. I was patient, but after it was over, I felt like I needed some alone time! Thank goodness Brian was home soon and I headed to Curves for 30 minutes of solitude.
We went to the rodeo Friday night. It didn’t start until 8 p.m., and the temperature had cooled off enough that it was pretty comfortable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much plaid, big hair, cowboy hats, and belt buckles the size of Tennessee before! We discovered that 3 hours on bleachers with a 3 year old can be a little much! Camden had a blast, though. The first hour or so he watched everything going around so intently and when he would look at us, would just break into a huge grin. The second hour, his questions started (imagine how many he could come up with!!). The third hour, he was quite antsy. The funniest thing about the rodeo was that he was so concerned with those cowboy hats that were flying off into the dirt. In fact, when family and friends have asked him about the rodeo, that’s the first thing he tells them.
Saturday was tax-free in Tennessee so we shopping. We were going shopping for me, but I came home with not too much! Brian, on the other hand, came home with two pairs of jeans, one casual shirt, two dress shirts, two ties, and two dress pants!! How does that happen? We started at Panera Bread, which was nice! We quickly discovered that keeping Camden out until 11 p.m. and then spending 5 hours shopping the next day is not a good idea. I know there are mothers out there who are capable of shopping with children and maybe even enjoy it, but it sucks the joy right out of shopping for me. He’s pretty good, but it’s like he’s on straight sugar when we go shopping. He is so hyper and silly, I can hardly keep up with him!
Talked to my sister-in-law for over 2 hours on Saturday. I don’t know why I go so long without calling her, but we have a great relationship. We were friends in college, and because she lives in Utah, we don’t see them that often, but we can always just pick up right where we left off. They are beginning the foster-adopt program, and I’m really excited for them.
Have I mentioned 24? Brian really wanted to watch this show since he’s heard so many good things about it. It is very good. We’ve watched the first 4 DVD’s of season 1. Of course, there are like 4 or 5 seasons at this point so I have no idea how we’ll catch up. It is quite addicting, though. We watched 4 episodes Saturday night and 2 episodes after church Sunday and wanted to keep going! Poor Brian though there were only 2 seasons and had hopes we could get caught up before the new season begins. I don’t think there’s any way possible!
I did get to do a little scrapping this weekend, but not much. One layout is from Saturday; the other is from Thursday evening.

I went to lunch yesterday with my friend Tina and had some great Mexican food. I've been pretty good about my food choices this week. I worked out at Curves 3 days this week and hope to get another workout in over the weekend.
Today is my favorite day of the week! When I leave work at 4:00, I don't come back for three whole days! Camden is very excited to hear we're going to a "radio" tomorrow night. He went and found his old cowboy hat, which is way too small, and wants to ride the horse on daddy's foot constantly. He also likes to ride the bull - counts to 8 and then falls off. I think he'll have a great time.
It's tax-free weekend in Tennessee, so we're going shopping on Saturday. Okay, we had already planned to go shopping and then discovered it was tax-free weekend. Brian almost backed out.
I have two cute layouts to share, but blogger is messing up again and won't let me post pictures. I might try back later.
Have a great weekend.

This was Camden's prayer last night at supper. "Dear Jesus, thank you for the food. Thank you for me. Amen." Funny, and maybe a bit selfish (yes, he's an only child). Of course, when we pray with him at night, we always say "thank you for Camden" so he's just repeating us. He's been having bloody noses several times a week during the night. Last night he had one, but didn't wake up so when he got up this morning, his face was nasty. I took him to the bathroom to clean him up, and he was petrified to see himself in the mirror. He is pretty obsessive about being dirty anyway - drives him crazy. I'm sure that trait has nothing to do with the fact that his mommy was obsessive about keeping him clean when he was a baby/toddler. Once he got over being scared, he thought it was kind of cool, and kept making lots of faces at himself.
The power in our entire city went out last night for a couple of hours. They said it's because of high electric use. I actually slept through the entire thing, which is rare for me since I'm a light sleeper. The news story this morning encouraged everyone to cut down on their electric use by not cooking supper or doing laundry when you get home from work. Sounds good to me. Now I have an excuse for what I normally do (or don't do) anyway! They also mentioned turning your airconditioner up a couple of degrees. No way I'm doing that! It was 97 yesterday.
I went to the dentist yesterday. I'm very embarrassed to admit that it's been almost FIVE years! Hey, we don't have dental insurance, and I've never had teeth trouble. Thankfully, they're still in good shape and the hygienist was amazed that it had been that long because my teeth were good. They were pretty sensitive for the rest of the day after a vigorous cleaning! I asked about when to take Camden, and they said sometime in the next 6-12 months just for an introductory visit. They did mention that although this is a generalization, Asians teeth tend to be weaker and so now I'm worried he's going to have bad teeth. He has very pretty baby teeth, but baby teeth aren't what matters!I participated in the ScrapArtist chat last night and won a $10 gift card when I was the first to answer a trivia question. There were 268 participating at time, so I guess it pays to type 95 words a minute! Who knew that skill would ever come in handy outside the office.
Here are a couple of layouts. If the picture in the first one looks familiar, that's because I just scrapped it over the weekend, but I've redone it. I just wasn't happy with it. The second is for an ad challenge at www.sweetdreamsshoppe.com. Mom, the bigger pic sizes are for you. Hope this helps.
